POSITION: Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Education
QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in Business Education, Information Systems or related
discipline. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality teaching, research, and service at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A current teaching license in Business Education is very desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a 9 month, tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate
Professor level. The faculty member will be responsible for developing and delivering course content in computer programming, information systems, business communication and/or business teacher education and supervise thesis work in business teacher education. Quality productivity in academic and sponsored research, refereed publications, and professional service is expected.
UNIVERSITY: North Carolina A&T State University is an 1890 land-grant university with the Carnegie classification: High Research Activity University. Current enrollment is approximately 10,000 students. The School of Business and Economics, which has an enrollment of about 1,600 students, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs through four departments: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Education, and Economics and Transportation/Logistics.
The Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree program offers major concentrations in Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems and Transportation/Logistics. The Master of Arts in Teaching in Business Education (MAT) prepares teacher candidates for the initial and advanced licenses (“A” & “M”). The business and accounting programs are accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Business Teacher Education Program is also accredited by NCATE – the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
