OSRA in San Francisco: Register Now!

The final program for AMCIS 2009 has been completed. To register for the conference, to see the entire AMCIS program, or to see detailed information on the OSRA panels and papers, click on "OSRA Conference" at left. Our panels are:

  • Implementing and Supporting End-user Technologies, chaired by Bob Brookshire
  • Knowledge Management and Work Group Collaboration, chaired by Richard Boateng
  • Applications of Web 2.0 and Virtual Technologies in the Workplace, chaired by Lynn Keane

All the panels will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9, in Sierra Suite E in the San Francisco Marriott. The OSRA business meeting will be Friday at 6:00 PM.

ITL&PJ Call for Papers

The Information Technology, Learning, and Performance Journal invites you to contribute to a special issue that will feature articles related to key issues and challenges of service learning in information technology (IT) courses. Service learning is used here as a general term for learning strategies involving community‐based activities that are integrated with academic course objectives. Information technology can be addressed as support for service learning activities, the focus of service learning, or service learning implementation in the IT curriculum. OSRA in Toronto: Panels and Papers

OSRA's panels at the Toronto AMCIS meeting were a great success—one of the papers won the prize for best conference paper! The paper was titled, "They Call For Help, But Don't Always Listen: The Development of the User-Help Desk Knowledge Application Model," by C. Carr, P. Bateman and S. Navlakha. Message from President Roger Yin

The OSRA Executive Board is pleased to announce that OSRA has officially become a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Association for Information Systems. OSRA has a proud 25-year history of serving the needs of professionals in the field of end-user and organizational information systems and education. As the IS field continues to evolve, we believe that affiliation with AIS will greatly strengthen OSRA to fulfill its mission and provide continued leadership in promoting research, education, and professional practice in end-user systems.
