Welcome to the 20th Annual OSRA Conference Proceedings!

2001 is the first year that the Proceedings for the annual conference have been published on-line. The OSRA Executive Board voted to publish electronically in recognition of the organization’s leadership role in the field of information technology.

This year’s proceedings presented here contain significant research in crucial areas in IT. These papers will guide and stimulate readers toward adding to the body of knowledge with regard to technology, learning, and performance.

Fifteen papers were submitted to a blind-refereed process. Of those fifteen, twelve appear in these Proceedings. The paper with the highest score from the reviewers received the “Best Paper Award,” presented at the conference.

One of the most difficult tasks in any refereed process is that of reviewer. The reviewers for 2001 were very conscientious and did excellent work…for that, a most heartfelt thanks!
